The debate system should help the democratic debate by providing space for anybody to contribute. For now, we envision a system structured in the following way:

• a space constrained system, where each participant would have a limited space to give his opinion on a given question (e.g. 100 words summary plus 1,000 words explanation). The rationale behind a constrained system is to force participant to offer a synthetic view of his/her ideas;

• an unlimited space (blog like?) where each participant could give longer explanations.

• We can distinguish a debate system (like a forum) and a synthesis system (more like a wiki).

• Vincent Becker is proposing his system that he is using for http://www.pierreapoissons.net and based on b2evolution (GPL license).

• A work is in progress to build a debate system on Hyperdebat (based on SPIP, GPL license)

• A wiki dedicated to political campaigns, and a sample of well formatted arcticle based on tabs usage.
